Tata Tiago Features,Performance & Test Drive

Tata Tiago

Tata Tiago Overview

Tata has been offering hatchbacks in its portfolio for a very long time ranging from Nano, Indica, and Bolt but the absence of a solid and contemporary mid-sized hatch was missing. In the recent times, mid-sized hatchbacks have been garnering attention as they make up for a perfect family car. So, Tata came up with the all-new Tiago back in the year 2016 and so far it’s the company’s best bet. Tata’s Tiago is small but agile, and of course, it does tick all the boxes that make the car so competitive in the segment. With the Tiago, Tata offers a well-engineered, modern day package to the Indian customers in a compact vehicle. The car does not look anything like we have seen before; it looks fresh and appealing in terms of features and comes with refined engine options.Apply car loan for Tata Tiago.

Tata Tiago Look

When we first saw the Tiago enter the test drive venue and come to a stop in front of us, the only thing that proclaimed it to be a Tata product was the T-insignia on the front grille. Changes are indeed so IMPACT-full that the Tiago just doesn’t look like any other Tata car currently on offer. It is the first car to be launched under the manufacturer’s #MadeOfGreat Campaign, and also https://www.topspeed.in/cars/tata/ke3001.html first to be built on the all-new IMPACT design language. And if you ask us, the start just can’t get any better!

Upfront, the Tiago gets a smiling face, that houses a vertically stacked honey-comb grille, housing the new 3-D Tata emblem. Blacked-out halogen headlamps have been placed on both sides of the grille that impart an all-new character to the car. The front profile also gets circular fog lamps placed towards the lower bumper area, while the slim air-dam section has been seamlessly integrated with the bumper design. The front nose has a unique roundish touch to it while the front hood gets subtle crease lines which go well with the overall exterior design.

The side profile of the hatch gets a prominent crease line which starts from the rear taillamp area and finishes almost near the front wings. This characteristic line successfully lightens the overall visual bulk of the car’s side, thus making it look a lot more dynamic. The Tiago is actually based on the X1 platform, but the wheel arches now have lesser gaps. This makes the hatch appear even more planted and appealing. The rear profile of the car gets wrap around taillamps, a rear spoiler and rear windscreen wiper. A wide blacked-out area near the rear number plate housing again manages to decrease the car’s visual weight, while adding a pinch of ruggedness to its overall character.Check for Tata Tiago in Iiit-bh

Tata Tiago Comfort

The interiors seem to be the biggest surprise Tata has given. The cabin is not only well finished but nicely designed and spacious as well. This makes us think that Tata has really upped the game in the small hatchback class. Right from seat fabric options to the knitted roof lining, everything has been a well thought processed. The dashboard features a soft touch dual tone theme and with uniquely textured interiors and gloss black center console lends the car an upmarket feel.

In terms of feature list and equipment level, yes, Tata has given a lot in this car. The top models feature Bluetooth enabled Harman infotainment system with a USB and Aux-In slot. The music system is powered by 8-speakers and the output is amazing. And despite not a touchscreen high tech infotainment, Tata has added a wonderful feature ‘MapMyIndia’ app for displaying visuals and streaming navigation data right on the infotainment screen. The car also gets four parking sensors.

The two-pod instrument cluster with a crisp display is draped in simple brushed silver colour. The multi-information display gives info on trip distance, average fuel consumption, time and distance to empty. The center console features a pair of AC vents, music system and controls for AC. Another wonderful addition is the Juke Car App which allows simultaneous connection to 10 smartphones via WiFi hotspot. The car beside featuring a cooled glove box has a lot of storage space including 22 cubbyholes, space near the gear lever and pockets on all 4-doors. Other features include keyless entry, height adjustable driver’s seat, EPAS system and heater. Overall, this car has the right amount of features one can expect at this price point.

Tata Tiago Gearbox

Petrol

The Tiago not only brings good looks and premium interiors to the table, but it also promises a zippy ride from its newly developed Revotron 1.2 Litre petrol unit which promises to deliver around 85 PS of peak power at 6000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. While it looks sufficiently powered on papers, real-world performance can not be termed as enthusiastic. Off-the line acceleration is a bit lethargic, but the engine comes to its own once the rpm needle climbs.

The 5-speed gearbox too is a joy to use, and has been aptly tuned to enhance driveability as well as performance. It has been placed at an ergonomic location, and thus falls to hand perfectly. Short and crisp throws ensure that enthusiastic drivers will have a grin on their face every time they slot down a gear.

What is even more interesting is the fact that the Tiago gets the segment’s first Multi drive mode, which includes City and Eco modes to ensure an improved fuel economy as well as superior and fun filled driving experience. The petrol engine promises to return an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 23.84 kpl.

Diesel

The diesel variant on the other hand gets a Revotorq 1.05 Litre, 3 cylinder unit which is capable of delivering around 70 Ps of peak power at 4000 rpm and an impressive 139 Nm of torque at 1800-3000 rpm. This diesel mill is also equipped with a small turbocharger from Honeywell, that is tuned to enhance city driveability as well as fuel economy. In terms of real-world performance, the diesel mill too wont disappoint anyone, as it has a well-distributed spectrum of power across its rev range.

The new drivetrain comes loaded with technologies like duel overhead camshafts, central injectors and low friction crank train which helps in delivering an impressive fuel efficiency figure. Just like the petrol, the diesel unit too has been paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The Tiago diesel promises to return an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 27.28kpl.

Tata Tiago Riding

The suspension setup in the car does its work silently without any complaints. The car is equipped with independent suspension up front and semi-independent at the rear which takes the passengers on bad roads and highways with utmost confidence. The steering wheel of the car is also light which translates into peppy and agile driving experience. Tata’s cars are known for their absorbent ride quality and Tiago is no exception. The hatch glides over bad roads and smartly dismisses small potholes with a little thud without unsettling car’s composure. Request Test drive for Tata Tiago.

Tata Tiago Safety

The Tiago comes loaded with advanced safety features that empower you to drive confidently. It is equipped with dual front air bags, advanced ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control, and rear parking sensors. The infotainment system?s display even offer’s a visual image off the car’s proximity to any object. The body structure of the Tiago is very strong and can absorb impact energy, thus offering superior safety.

As far as comfort and convenience is concerned, the Tiago offers unparalleled comfort with 22 intelligently designed utility spaces that take care of all your needs, height adjustable driver’s seat, the scooped out front seats provide more leg room, thus maximizing comfort and the Multi-information Display instrument cluster offers access to a host of useful information about the Tiago. It also empowers you to control a variety of in-car features.

The Tiago features an advanced ConnectNeXT Infotainment system by HARMAN. The Tiago enables you to experience Immersive Surround-sound music with 8 speakers. It also features a first-in-segment smartphone based Turn-by-Turn navigation app (available only to Android users.) But the NVH is poorly built, rear headroom is tight and Tata’s service quality is also not up to the mark.

Tata Tiago Price in Hyderabad

Tata Tiago On-Road Price in Hyderabad ranges from 5,06,477 to 7,30,921 for variants Tiago Revotron XE and Tiago Revotorq XZ respectively. Tata Tiago is available in 20 variants and 6 colours. Below are details of Tata Tiago variants price in Hyderabad. Check for Tiago price in Hyderabad at Autozhop.

Tata Tiago Bottomline

The Tata Tiago is positioned in between their entry level hatchback Nano and the Bolt and this is quite aggressively priced as well. The Tiago is also backed by city friendly as well as fuel efficient drivetrains but what sets it apart from the rest is the fact that it gets a newly designed exterior, newer platform for better handling, and spacious interior and offcourse a diesel engine option under its hood along with the petrol engine option as well.

The Tata Tiago may not be an exceptional looking hatchback but it surely has enough juice to keep those customers happy who are searching for an alternative other than the Celerio or the i10.

In our opinion, the Tiago makes perfect sense for anyone and everyone entering this segment. The only factor that might stop people from deciding on the Tiago is the word that precedes its moniker – Tata. We just hope Tata Motors provides satisfactory after sales support from now, in order to break away with the perception of it being a poor-quality brand.

What Is The Recovery Process From Hair Transplant Surgery

Iiit-bh

Taking the plunge to undergo hair transplant surgery can be a big step, but it’s one that an increasing number of individuals are opting for.

Although it may feel like a major decision, the procedure itself is normally painless and without complications, being classified as only minimally invasive and low risk.

However, unless you know what to expect, the recovery process can be somewhat surprising. Here’s a closer look at what happens following FUE hair transplant surgery.

The process

For the most cosmetically pleasing results we use the Follicular Hair Extraction technique – often abbreviated to FUE. FUE hair transplant surgery is amongst the most modern of techniques and delivers great results with the shortest recovery period. Unlike methods such as FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) there is no scarring and no need to worry about your scar showing following a visit to the barbers.

With FUE, each follicle is removed individually or in natural clumps of 2 or 3 so there are a number of tiny incisions no more than a millimetre wide. In comparison a traditional FUT hair transplant surgery involves removing a donor strip from the back of the head and dividing it into individual follicles reading for transplantation. This leaves a linear scar and sutures using the trichophytic closure technique.

During FUE short-lived local anaesthetics are used to minimise discomfort. A punch device removes the follicle; this is the most efficient process and also guarantees the least chance of visible scarring. The removed follicle is then placed in the bald area to create a natural effect.

Although the technique reduces scarring and discomfort it is important to bear in mind that your follicles are being removed from one portion of your head and transplanted elsewhere, and there may be some temporary side effects which will diminish with time as the graft heals and establishes itself.

Immediately afterwards

You will be able to see the shape of your new hairline immediately after the FUE transplant has taken place with the follicles implanted in their new position. However, visually it may not be as pleasing as you may have expected as there will be scabbing around each follicle. As none of the incisions are more than a millimetre long the scabs will be small and quick to heal.

Although the trauma to the donor site is minimal, there will be some side effects such as swelling. This is only temporary and will resolve within a matter of days. With certain other hair transplant techniques, such as FUT, there is a chance of developing numbness in the donor site. This is also temporary but can last several months before resolving.

You may have some minor tenderness or soreness at the graft implantation site. Any swelling across the forehead will diminish within a few days and you will be able to resume your normal routine quickly.

The surgeon will give you advice about how best to take care of your transplant to maximise the chances of a successful result. This might include elevating your head when sleeping and restrictions on washing your hair or showering. As long as you follow the surgeon’s recommendations the transplant will quickly settle down within 5-7 days.

There’s no reason why you can’t go back to work straight away but realistically you may prefer to take around a week or so off. Exercise routines can also be restarted during this first week provided your surgeon does not advise otherwise.

Short to medium term

Around two weeks after your FUE surgery you may be horrified to discover your newly transplanted hairs are all falling out. Don’t worry, this is a normal part of the procedure and doesn’t mean that the grafts haven’t taken root.

Hair grows from a follicle. When we talk about hair transplant what we really mean is follicle transplant. When the follicle is moved it temporarily ceases hair growth whilst it settles into its new location. The old hairs falling out are a natural and essential part of the life cycle and make way for new hairs to grow at the graft site.

Hair only grows around 1cm per month, so it could take some time for your new hair to become visible and your hairline to start to resemble the result you were hoping for. After 4-5 months you should start to be getting a good idea of the final appearance, but it can take as long as 18 months for the full hair transplant to be visible.

Depending on the time of year your transplant takes place (or your holiday plans), you may be advised to wear a hat or high factor sunscreen for the first few weeks. For more info on Hair Transplant check Getreadyoregon

Long term

Once your new hairs have established themselves and are growing normally, you can treat your transplant area exactly the same as you would the rest of your follicles. You can have your hair trimmed within a month and after that, should you wish, you can dye it.

A hair transplant is a permanent procedure and the results are lifelong. A year or two after the procedure is completed no one will be any the wiser that you have undergone a FUE procedure and you will not need to restrict your hairstyle choices in any way whatsoever.

PRP Therapy

To stimulate hair growth after your FUE procedure we can offer Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. It stimulates the hair follicles to regenerate and encourages hair growth.

During PRP Therapy blood is taken from your arm and the naturally occurring plasma, where the platelets reside, is extracted in a centrifuge. This platelet rich plasma is then injected into the grafted area scalp where the hair is thinnest.

Clinical data indicates that healing is encouraged by the release of cytokines and growth factors from the platelets into the injected area.

Other treatments

We can also provide specialist follicle revitalising shampoos to reactivate the grafted follicles. Other treatments for thinning hair and hair loss such as laser therapy or vitamin therapy may also be offered to help your transplant establish itself and encourage the moved follicles to begin growing again. Ask your surgeon for further advice on which will be most appropriate in your particular case.

The Average Cost Of Hair Transplantaion

Hair Transplantaion Cost in Hyderabad depends on number of hair follicles we are transplanting. Ranges from 40,000 to 1.5 lakhs, however this will depend on your particular case. This can only be determined during a consultation with your surgeon, and following that an accurate price can be quoted.

Fiat Linea Hatchback First Drive & Gearbox

Fiat Linea Classic Price In Hyderabad

Fiat Linea Overview

The Fiat Linea has always been a fun to drive car and the current model gets upmarket interiors and a healthy equipment list that makes it quite a good value for money offering. The interiors get a dual tone theme with a Fiat 500 like contrast mid section that houses circular chrome ringed air vents, the piano black housing for the middle air vents also look nice while the shiny black stereo compliments the air vent housing above. The Emotion variant also gets leather upholstery to give the car a premium appeal. Apply car loan for Fiat Linea.

The Fiat Linea comes loaded with a stereo, power windows all around, tilt adjustable power steering, electrically adjustable ORVMs, automatic headlamps with programmable follow-me-home function, rain sensing wipers, central locking, mileage computer, rear defogger, disc brakes all around and anti-lock brakes as standard. Top end models also get, rear a/c vents, a rear arm rest with cupholders, front airbags, a rear sun blind, cruise control, alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, climate control, Bluetooth compatible stereo with steering mounted controls and a height adjustable driver’s seat.

Fiat Linea Look

Fiat Linea exudes an international appeal in the style statement it carries which makes it a head turner wherever it goes. The front as well as rear overhangs seem quite proportionate which is one of the biggest advantage in its aerodynamic structure. The front looks quite sophisticated with a chrome plated front that proudly carries Fiat badge in between.

The twin pod headlights are carefully underlined by a pair of fog lights that improve vision in misty foggy times. The side profile is a combination of sophistication and muscle. The beefed wheel arches gradually merge into the waistline. The 16’inch alloy wheels looks stunning and play an important role in defining its distinct style statement.

The stylishly protruding electrical ORVMs, clutch style door handles and a nicely embellished C pillar gives a coupe-like look to this sedan. The rear profile looks equally attractive with a large boot lid, chrome linings, and three light clusters of tail lamps. The ground clearance of 165mm accompanied by a strong suspension makes it a suitable option in terms of Indian roads. Fiat currently offers this sedan in seven vibrant colors which adds another feather to its cap.

Fiat Linea Comfort

The interiors have a similar tale to tell. Instead of featuring a sporty all-black layout, you get the same (read: safe) beige and black combo with a few silver and piano black accents thrown in for good measure. The updated dashboard design from the 2014 version manages to look chic even now. The fit, finish and quality levels are above average in most places and will give you very little reason to complain. We like the orange ambient lighting that lends a nice, warm and not to mention welcoming feel to the cabin. With the 125 S, the interiors have been left untouched. That means you still get the leather upholstery, super supportive front seats and slightly awkward ergonomics. And, in spite of being the longest car in its class, legroom or headroom at the rear bench isn’t the best there is. Seating two six-footers back to back can be a bit of a squeeze and three people will struggle to settle alongside each other in the rear bench.

The only addition to the cabin is the 5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The system supports a variety of inputs including Bluetooth, AUX and USB. However, the screen size is a tad too small and the interface feels dated — especially when you compare it to its rivals that offer Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. Also, Fiat says the screen is reverse camera compatible; however, the camera itself isn’t a part of the standard kit. That said, audio quality is really crisp and we can imagine calm long drives with some soothing music on the radio.

On the practicality front, the Linea continues to sport a rather awkwardly placed sunglass holder, slim door pockets and a few more cubby holes in the floor console between the front seats. Boot space is rated at a gigantic 500 litres that is more than adequate to swallow most of the airport-run luggage.

Fiat Linea Gearbox

Fiat offers Linea with two engine options a 1.4-litre FIRE petrol power mill and a 1.3-litre multijet diesel power mill. Both engines have been placed transversely under the hood and use a 5-speed manual transmission to deliver power to front wheels. The petrol versions of the car are powered by a 1.4-litre FIRE petrol engine that displaces 1368cc to deliver power worth 91PS against a peak torque of 115Nm. A lag may be felt at higher speed as the engine can manage to pull the 1240kgs kerb weight of the car at lower speeds only. But that doesn’t mean it is slow, the car speedily accelerates from 0-100kmph speed in just 16 seconds and attains a top speed of 165kmph. For more details on Fiat Linea  check Iiit-bh

The diesel version of the car, on the contrary, is powered by a 1.3-litre 16 valve engine whose power and performance is enhanced by Multijet and Dual OverHead Camshafts (DOHC). The DOHC and Multijet not only enhances the efficiency of this engine but also help in improving its performance. The engine smoothly manages to delivers power worth 86PS along a maximum torque of 203Nm. The Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) supports the engine’s performance and helps it in gliding from rest to 100kmph speed within 15 seconds. The diesel version of Fiat Linea carries ability to attain a maximum speed of 170kmph.

Out of the two fuel options offered with this sedan it is its diesel version that makes it especially proud in terms of mileage. Fiat Linea delivers an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 20kmpl with its diesel engine. The fuel tank of the car bears a capacity to store 45-litres of fuel in one go which means with the diesel version you can easily travel a distance of 900kms in one go. The petrol version on the other hand delivers mileage of 15kmpl as certified by ARAI. The range of distance that can be covered via this version with a full tank is 675kms, not bad considering its cost and segment.

Fiat Linea Riding

Low-speed ride is a strong point with the Fiat. The well-tuned suspension does just enough to not upset the cabin when bad roads raise their ugly heads. Moreover, the healthy 190mm of ground clearance gives you that extra bit of confidence whilst tackling broken terrain. The flipside is that the soft suspension tends to make the ride slightly ‘floaty’ once you move into triple-digit speeds. We’re sure a set of stiffer springs will make the Linea a lot more fun, especially around a set of twisties.

The steering is heavier than you’d expect and will make parking a chore. That said, it knows what the 205 section tyres are up to, and it tells you exactly that. Grip from the stock tyres is just about acceptable, but, we don’t see them lasting too long if you keep slamming the throttle in first. The tyres, along with the disc brakes do a swell job of getting the 125 S to a dead halt. The brakes bite in sharply (a bit too sharply if I may add) for very little pedal travel. This, too, gets a bit of getting used to.Request Fiat Linea Test Drive

Fiat Linea Safety

Braking and safety, both these aspects have been looked well by Fiat in Linea. The halting of front wheels is supported by disc brakes while the rear wheels have been awarded with drum brakes. The larger diameter of disc brakes allows instantaneous deceleration of car while the safety aspect in sudden braking is looked into by Anti Lock braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system that distributes braking force equally to all four wheels preventing sliding and squealing of tyres. Other measures taken to ensure safety of its passengers include an Anti-theft engine immobilizer, Fire Prevention System (FPS), 3 safety headrests, programmable speed limit that helps controlling speed of the car, digital door open indicator, power steering, and double crank prevention system.

Fiat Linea Price in Hyderabad

Fiat Linea On-Road Price in Hyderabad ranges from 9,27,699 to 10,66,238 for variants Linea 1.4L Active Fire and Linea 1.4 Dynamic Advanced Multijet respectively. Fiat Linea is available in 3 variants and 5 colours. Below are details of Fiat Linea variants price in Hyderabad.

Fiat Linea Bottomline

Fiat Linea sets a high benchmark in C segment with its stunning looks, well done interiors, and above par driving dynamics. The car gives a tough competition to all its rivals now only in terms of style and design but also in terms of power and performance. The exteriors have been done really well which allows the car to enjoy a huge fan following. The excessive use of chrome gives it an upmarket appeal which is one of the favourite features in Indian automotive market. The acceptable ground clearance in combination with a strong suspension system makes it a suitable choice with respect to Indian roads. Those looking for long trips and frequent air port trips would love to have this car as the boot space easily swallows entire luggage, a higher bay though ask for long hands to place the luggage. What Are The Reasons & Benefits Of Choosing Breast Augumentation Surgery

Breast Augumentation

Women undergo breast enlargement surgery for a number of reasons. If you have any of the following concerns, then you could be a candidate for surgery:

A. Naturally small breasts

B. Asymmetrical breasts (where one is a different size or shape to the other)

C. Reduced firmness and sagging as part of the ageing process

D. Drooping or sagging breasts after pregnancy or breast-feeding

E. Removal of all or part of your breast following cancer treatment

While breast enlargement can be the right choice for many people, for others it is not suitable. People suffering from certain illnesses or serious psychological issues connected with body image, such as body dysmorphia, are not suitable candidates for surgery. You should also never consider having surgery if you are being pressured into it by someone else. Undergoing surgery, even if it is for cosmetic reasons, is a serious decision that should be carefully thought about.

Teenagers are not usually suitable for breast implants and most cosmetic surgeons would not operate on someone under the age of 18, because their breasts have not finished developing. There are some rare exceptions to this rule but if you are under 18 and desperately want surgery then it is worth consulting with a surgeon and being counselled through your options. Check for Breast Augumentation  in Iiit-bh

In the majority of cases you will get a better result if you wait until your body has finished developing in your twenties. You may also have a different perception of how you want your breasts to look when you are slightly older and rushing into surgery may result in the need for further corrective treatment or removal of the implants.

Heavy smokers are also not ideal candidates for any type of cosmetic or plastic surgery as they are at more risk when undergoing general anaesthetic. If you do smoke, you’ll be asked to stop at least two months before your breast enlargement procedure, as smoking can also delay the healing process. You can learn more here about breast augmentation risks and complications.

Benefits of Breast Augumentation Surgery

For many women, the size and shape of their breasts has a huge impact on the way they view themselves. Having small, saggy or asymmetrical breasts can make you feel self-conscious, unattractive and insecure about your body. Breast enlargement can have enormous benefits.

Providing you have thought about it seriously beforehand and are happy with your decision then having the surgery can really boost your self-confidence and self-esteem and give you a better-proportioned figure. It can also open the door to a more varied choice of clothing.

If our figure was disproportionate then having implants can add balance, meaning that clothes will fit you better and you will feel more confident in what you wear. Results differ from person to person however, so you need to make sure you have reasonable expectations of what the surgery can do for you.

Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Review & First Drive

Hyundai Elite i20

Hyundai Elite i20 Overview

This is the all-new i20 and a car that not only Indian, but people from around the world have been waiting for sometime now. The global premier did take place in India and needless to say, we think the wait for worth it. The new i20 looks great and certainly is one of the better looking cars in the segment. Hyundai has always launched great looking cars in India and this new model is no different. Making use of the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 philosophy, this new i20 instantly looks stunning. The car now gets a new bold front design that is dominated by a huge single frame hexagonal grille and sharp swept back headlamps. The cleverly designed front fog lamps sit between black housing for the lower air dam and look neat. Check for Car Loan Interest Calculator.

Hyundai Elite i20 Look

Hyundai believes the previous generation i20 had a youthful, sporty and hi-tech stance and now while retaining the same characteristics of the styling, they are promoting the Elite i20 with a bold, dynamic and powerful image. We agree with them because it looks powerful indeed and has mature design elements that grow on you with time. The front profile looks imposing with the hexagonal grille having a honeycomb mesh and chrome outlining. The wide swept back headlamps integrate reflectors on the top that act as faux daytime running lights because DRLs are not being offered with the new gen i20 as opposed to the outgoing model. The bonnet has strong creases that add to the visual appeal. There is a pause between the bonnet and bumper on the nose that houses the Hyundai badge neatly. At the lower end you’ll find trapezoidal fog lamps with sharp bumper lip.

The side profile reveals the sporty stance of the Elite i20, which appears forward leaning. The 16-inch ‘diamond cut’ alloys look premium and fill the wheel arches very well while the ORVMs have integrated turn indicators. There is a strong shoulder line that emerges from the headlights and continues upwards to the tail lights. The blackened B and C pillars gives the sense of a floating roof and we quite like it but it is a ‘love it or hate it’ styling cue. It’s integrated neatly to the body but the panel itself feels plasticky and boxy when you knock it. That said, the rear styling of the Elite i20 definitely grabs attention with its broad stance and big car feel. The three step detailing on the huge tail lamps looks upmarket and the bumper gets busy styling integrated with reflectors and one side reverse lamp. The rear parking camera is protruding in the middle and further down is the hatch opening button. The Hyundai logo integrating the button with a hidden camera would have made the tailgate look cleaner. The Elite i20 is 10 mm shorter and 24 mm wider with a 45 mm longer wheelbase.

Hyundai Elite i20 Comfort

While the cabin space is par-for-the-course, the upmarket ambience will be quite a deal maker. Premium hatchbacks today offer quality we’d expect in segments above and the Elite’s cabin is a perfect example. The dashboard is elegantly designed, with uniquely styled AC vents and a centre console with controls that are easy to navigate through. The lower portion of the dashboard is coloured black, while the upper half stretching all the way into the windshield is beige. We enjoyed the diversity of the atmosphere, and thought it fed off a trend that most car makers are following today here in India. The audio system is positioned at the top of the centre console, right below the central AC vents.Though it comes as a highlight, the central screen could have been bigger for improved ease of use on the move. The controls for the system are arranged around the display, and a large engine start/stop button is placed by the side of the console. The new edition has been updated with an advanced AVN(Audio Visual Navigation) system that comes along with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Below is the climate control console which hosts a slender screen with blue illumination. At the lower end of the console, you have a small storage area where occupants can keep phones and other spare items. Also incorporated here are dual 12V power sockets, a USB and an AUX port, adding convenience to the passenger’s experience. The 3-spoke steering wheel is draped in leather, adding to the upmarket experience of the cabin. The instrument cluster comes with an analogue tachometer and a speedometer, and the illuminated dials make it easy to read in any condition.Door pockets are present in all of the doors, but we have to stress that they’re too shallow to hold anything substantial. The entire arrangement is ergonomically sorted and everything falls to hand quite easily. Armrests and headrests provide added comfort, and the lumbar support is excellent too. The seat upholstery bumps up the premium feel in the cabin, while the contrasting beige and black stitching is a visual treat. Added bling comes in the form of the metal highlights on the gear knob, parking brake and the inside door handles, showcasing the attention to detail. For Elite i20 visit Iiit-bh

Hyundai Elite i20 Gearbox

Now the engines. As has become a norm in this class of hatchbacks, there’s one diesel and one petrol engine on offer. Both engines have been carried over from the previous i20. So, the petrol is a 83PS, 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol while the diesel is a 90PS, 1.4-litre unit. The petrol is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the diesel gets a 6-speed manual. There is no automatic yet on offer.

We are driving the diesel here; the engine almost 70 per cent of Elite i20 buyers have opted for so far. And for good reason, because the first thing that strikes you is how good the NVH is on the new Elite i20 diesel. You can hear the diesel engine outside, but it isn’t an irritating or loud clatter. However, once seated inside the car, the engine feels both quiet and refined. It is also an easy revving engine. But if we had to nitpick, we’d say the turbo lag is a bit of a dampener. It’s only after 2,000rpm that the car really gets going. The 6-speed gearbox, however, doesn’t give you much to complain about. The gear shifts are precise, the throws aren’t very long and the clutch operation is light and progressive too.

Hyundai Elite i20 Riding

The ride quality is good for most urban and highway conditions. The MacPherson setup at the front with a torsion beam axle and coil springs at the rear are adequate dampers for good and bad roads. Large potholes can be a bit unsettling, resulting in sharp thuds but overall the ride quality is comfortable. On the handling front, I do feel that the new i20 is seriously underpowered for the kind of control it exhibits. It’s tightly controlled in corners and while there is some body roll, it’s not unsettling nor does it at any point make you feel unsafe. I did find the steering a bit elasticky and it’s not as impressive as in the Grand i10 but it’s light enough for urban commutes with enough weight for when you take it out of the city.

The assistance fortunately is not excessive and like in the Verna or the previous i20, you do not need to be extra cautious when taking the steering wheel off centre.Compared to the diesel variant, the petrol i20?s steering setup feels lighter, thanks to the lesser weight of the petrol engine. But that also makes the steering feel more lifeless. The engine however, feels livelier than its diesel counterpart. Being a naturally aspirated mill, it has a more linear power delivery with no flat spots to complain about. The engine is rev happy and gets the car rolling from as low as 1,200 rpm. Needless to say, it is also quicker and more refined than its diesel sibling. Request a test drive for Hyundai Elite i20.

Hyundai Elite i20 Safety

Hyundai has incorporated a decent braking system in the hatch, which consists of disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. It is supported immensely well by the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), but that is limited to the top three variants. Earlier, Hyundai i20 used to be the only hatchback under Rs. 10 lakh that offered as many as half a dozen airbags and was impeccably safe. But, now the scenario has reversed as even the top-end trim has only 2 airbags. The base and mid variants don’t feature a single airbag, while the Sportz trim comprises of only driver’s airbag. The parking assist feature with reverse parking sensors and rear camera with ECM display comes handy during parking the hatch.

There are front fog lamps to improve visibility in inclement weather conditions. But, again, both the aforesaid features are with Sportz and Asta trims. Additionally, the top-end trim also features seat belt pretensioners for the driver and front passenger, automatic headlamps, impact-sensing auto door unlock and clutch lock. On the security front, it has immobilizer, smart keyless entry, and central locking (door and tailgate) to endure any event of burglary or thievery. It can be propounded nonchalantly that the current gen Elite i20 stands nowhere close to its predecessor in terms of safety features. The company has disappointed thoroughly in the safety and security aspect.

Hyundai Elite i20 Bottomline

If an engaging driving experience is all you seek from your hatchback, the i20 is not the car for you. It betters the old i20 in almost every way, but dynamics are still not its strongest suite. But if you are primarily looking for an all-rounder with lots of space, a premium cabin and lots of features, the i20 could just be your best bet. It’s got peppy enough engines that should prove to be sufficiently fuel efficient too. Overall refinement is also very impressive, so when you add all of it together you get a car that gets you your money’s worth, premium price notwithstanding. Hyundai’s proven service backing only helps to make the i20 a car that’s easy to recommend.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Hatchback First Drive & Gearbox

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Overview

The first generation Maruti Ertiga tasted huge success, thanks to its sheer practicality, fuel efficient engines and a compact silhouette that could seated 7 passengers. The pricing too was quite attractive and competitive. Since its six years of existence, Ertiga has managed to create a success story of its own, making it one of the popular MPVs among others. So, to continue with the same spree, Maruti Suzuki introduced the second-gen model of Ertiga with the competitive pricing, more comfort features and fresh set of engine options. The new Ertiga comes with the all-new design along with an all-new Heartect platform. Just by looking at the new MPV one can say that it’s a better car as compared to its older model. The second-gen Ertiga do offers extra to the buyers with new design and advanced features while retaining its value proposition by competitive pricing. Check for Car Loan at Fincarz.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Look

The Ertiga’s wheelbase, at 2740mm, is a considerable 310mm longer than the Swift’s and the kerb weight has increased by around 155kg. But this is impressive considering it’s a seven-seater. Suzuki has kept the Ertiga’s weight in check with extensive use of lightweight high-tensile steel in its construction.

With a length of 4265mm, the Ertiga is a fair bit shorter than the other MPVs in the market, namely the Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo and Tata Aria. The Ertiga employs an independent, MacPherson-strut, coil-spring suspension at the front and a non-independent torsion beam setup at the rear. The brakes are also a conventional front disc and rear drum setup.

Styling is typically Suzuki, with swept-back headlights like the new Swift’s, and a grille and bonnet that resemble the Ritz. The overall design is pleasing, but not what you would call eye-catching. In fact, the van-like look, which clearly doesn’t exude the status and image of a saloon, is possibly the Ertiga’s biggest weakness.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Comfort

A new variant, Z+ is introduced in the New Maruti Ertiga. This variant gets additional features like keyless entry, push start and stop, touchscreen system with navigation and reverse parking camera. The New Maruti Ertiga gets the same beige interiors and the upholstery is also the same. In terms of other features, it gets single airbags and ABS as a standard feature. Dual airbags is available on all variants as an optional feature

The New Maruti Ertiga has an identical dashboard with the Swift, however it is beige in colour. The quality of the materials is not that premium. The front row of seats are quite comfortable and even large. On long journeys this helps quite a bit. The rear seat space too on the New Maruti Ertiga is good enough. These seats slide and recline too. The third row is quite cramped, but it gets some knee room when the second row seats are moved a bit ahead. The boot becomes small when all the seats are raised. One needs a carrier for luggage especially with seven passengers

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Gearbox

The choice of engines for the Ertiga is the new 1.4-litre K14BVVT petrol engine and the D13A DDiS super turbo diesel carried forward from the SX4. Given the additional weight of the new vehicle the two engines manage to offer a fair balance of power and torque.

The new, larger K series petrol engine reflects the same characteristics of its existing siblings. Quiet and almost vibe-free in idling mode, the engine comes across as refined and quick under hard acceleration. With variable valve timing to optimise performance and with low friction components, the new 1,373cc, 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine delivers a peak power of 95PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 130Nm at 4,000 rpm.For more details Maruti Eriga check Iiit-bh

The diesel engine is combined with an intercooled variable geometry turbocharger and this is same basic mill from the SX4. This 1,248cc engine with common rail diesel injection is almost free of any turbolag and delivers a peak power of 90PS at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 200Nm from as low as 1,750 rpm. The diesel engine makes its presence felt audibly despite the use of an extended dash silencer and other sound deadening components.

But, that is only when you accelerate hard, during idling and cruising conditions the familiar diesel engine is just the same as in the SX4. On the road, the Ertiga feels very much like the Swift and DZire. Though the Ertiga is no where near as big as the other utility vehicles like the Innova and the Tavera, you still get to feel its extra length compared to the Swift.

The engines have been mated to the five-speed gearbox already in the family cars, only the gear ratios have been optimised for the Ertiga’s expected driving cycle. Gear shifts are crisp and quick. The rated fuel efficiency for the petrol engine is 16.02 kmpl and the diesel is 20.77 kmpl.

The Ertiga handles quiet well too – almost, but not entirely, like a sedan. The suspension is also a carry forward in terms of its configuration – MacPherson strut at the front and torsion beam at the rear. The ratings for the springs have been increased and the dampers have been stiffened to handle the higher loads.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Riding

The Ertiga’s driving dynamics are largely influenced by its long wheelbase – the 2.74-metre gap between the front and rear axles give this MPV good poise and straight-line stability for most situations. The flipside is that it isn’t happy darting through corners and prefers a more relaxed driving style. The soft suspension means the low-speed ride is pretty absorbent, and even as speeds increase, the Ertiga handles bumps with aplomb and feels pretty solid. The Ertiga’s suspension works silently too and it’s just over sharp bumps that there is a mild thud from the suspension.

There is a bit of up-and-down motion over undulating surfaces and the diesel pitches a bit more in the front. However, at moderate speeds, this never gets uncomfortable and it’s only when you begin to push really hard that you long for a tauter setup. Considering its MPV proportions, the Ertiga doesn’t roll excessively and the steering is fairly accurate too. What you do miss is a tighter turning circle and the ability to wiggle into tight parking spots as with a hatchback. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact that the Ertiga is by far the most urban-friendly MPV in the market today.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Safety

Servicing the Ertiga won’t be an issue because Maruti has a service centre in almost every nook and corner of India. Talking about safety, the Ertiga comes equipped with dual front airbags and ABS on almost every variant. The LXi and LDi variants miss out on these safety features but Maruti offers them on the LXi (O) and LDi (O) trims. Apart from that, all the other V and Z trims come with these features. The same goes for front seat belt pretensioners too.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Price in Hyderabad

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga On-Road Price in Hyderabad ranges from 8,71,175 to 13,02,685 for variants Ertiga LXI and Ertiga Smart Hybrid ZDI Plus respectively. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is available in 11 variants and 7 colours. Below are details of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga variants price in Hyderabad. Check for Ertiga price in Hyderabad at Tryaldrive.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Bottomline

The Maruti Ertiga is a very good people’s carrier and it offers a good amount of features and practicality is also top notch. With the facelift, the car looks better, gets more equipment and even boasts of better efficiency. At the price it is offered for, the Ertiga does provide you with a lot of value and Maruti has got a strong contender on their hands in the 7-seater MPV segment.
